||  eMail Etiquette . . . .    ||

*NEVER* write all in CAPITALS. This is simply classed as shouting and you may even get ignored.

Avoid long sentences. Remember you have a 'full stop' and a 'comma' on your keyboard - don't forget to use them. Remember to also use Capital letters too when needed. Remember, NEAT eMails are a pleasure to read.

Use the To CC: with caution when forwarding. eMail addresses are like personal phone numbers, with the To CC: field everyone on your list will be able to see each others eMail and some people may not want that, use the To Bcc: field instead

Read your eMail before you send it! This will enable you to read your eMail through the recipients eyes.

Do not request delivery and read receipts. This is most annoying - If you want to check if someone have received your eMail, ask them!

Always use a Subject - Subjects can be difficult to think up sometimes - but never leave it blank, it helps you keep track of replies...

Always remember to begin your email with a Greeting and a 'Sign Off' note. Never jump straight in...

When forwarding eMails make it neat. Don't just forward the entire email, tidy up the unwanted parts. People often just forward eMails along with the complete history - forward only what is needed! Forwarding complete eMail sometimes makes it difficult for the end recipients to read and understand what you are forwarding.
